GEA Alumni Pitch Competition Portfolio Companies

As the GEA Alumni Pitch Competition enters its eighth year, GAIN members have a unique opportunity to invest in the winning company. Since 2019, Georgetown angel investors have contributed funds to an investment prize that goes to the winner of the pitch competition. The prize incentivizes companies to participate in the pitch competition and provides them with the option to raise capital for their startup.


2024 WINNER: Pratt Standard Cocktail Company

Pratt Standard Cocktail Company is a cocktail syrup brand that makes handcrafted small-batch cocktail syrups with real ingredients so you can enjoy cocktails that are better for you.

  • Pratt Standard has sales growth opportunities in the works including partnerships with large restaurant groups and event companies beyond the DMV area.


2023 WINNER: OxiWear

OxiWear is dedicated to minimizing patient vulnerability to hypoxic injury with wearable, continuous oxygen monitoring and low-oxygen alerts.

  • Oxiwear won the 2023 GEA Alumni Pitch Competition in April, securing a $100,000 investment award from GAIN members.

  • On August 28, 2024, OxiWear secured FDA certification, opening doors to new partnerships with hospitals, clinics, military contractors, and pharma companies.
