Adam Shlomi (SFS’20)
FOUNDER, OCEAN View and SoFlo Tutors
I'm an impact-driven entrepreneur focused on leveraging technology to address gaps in housing, education, and waste management. My journey began at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, where I launched a startup career fair and developed an algorithm for basketball betting.
A severe ankle injury during college led me to entrepreneurship. While recovering, I explored various projects, ultimately founding SoFlo Tutors, an online SAT tutoring company. SoFlo modernized the industry, making high-quality tutoring more accessible. We privately tutored 2,000 students annually and donated over $100,000 in services to non-profits.
After four years of growth and success, I sold SoFlo. The sale funded Ocean View, my investment vehicle focusing on innovative startups and real estate projects aligned with my passions for improving housing, education, and waste management.
Currently, I'm traveling across America in an RV, connecting with local entrepreneurs and studying diverse approaches to my areas of interest. This journey is shaping my perspective for future ventures. I've also become a yoga teacher, embracing the mindfulness that aided my physical recovery.
I'm eager to collaborate with fellow entrepreneurs working on innovative solutions in edtech, sustainable housing, or waste reduction. I regularly consult on business growth strategies and am always excited to engage with new, impactful ideas.
