1789 SECONDS with Cate Luzio (S’03): Cultivating a Community of Strong Women

It’s been so long since last we met, Hoyas! Welcome to 1789 Seconds, a webinar-side chat featuring Julia Farr (C’88, P’19, ‘21, '24), Executive Director of the Georgetown Alumni Association in conversation with alumni as they share their career stories and professional journeys. In these live broadcast sessions, you'll be the first to hear from a variety of alumni over the course of this series, each chat taking place for 1,789 seconds - just under 30 minutes. We have 200,000 alumni doing 200,000 different, amazing things...our mission is to bring those stories to light!

Join us for our live broadcast as we spend 1,789 seconds with Cate Luzio (S’03), Founder & CEO of Luminary and one of Inc. Magazine’s 2019 Female Founders 100. Luminary is New York City’s premier collaboration workspace for working women who are passionate about professional development and expanding their networks. Since the COVID-19 pandemic has necessitated limitations on indoor coworking, Cate and her team have continued to build a community of empowered working women virtually. Cate will share how gathering spots like hers are weathering the pandemic storm, what employers should be doing now to poise their female employees for success, and how we can be champions for change and support the women in our lives. Be sure to check out @BeALuminary and #bealuminary on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook for inspiration and how the Luminary community is staying strong in these uncertain times.
