Calling all Founders: Georgetown's Summer Launch Program Now Accepting Applications
Interested in starting a business but don't know where to begin? Have an idea but need help developing it? Then the StartupHoyas Summer Launch Program is a perfect place to get started. The StartupHoyas Summer Launch Program is Georgetown's very own GU startup incubator program, right on campus. The program is specifically designed for students and graduates who have developed an idea for a new venture and want to see how far they can go. Startups accepted to the program will receive dedicated workspace on campus, active support from Georgetown faculty and mentors, introductions to local investors and entrepreneurs, and access to the broader DC startup community.
The Summer Launch Program is open to GU students and alumni from all graduate and undergraduate degree programs.
- Runs June and July
- 2-day orientation on May 31 and June 1
- Weekly meetings on Tuesday afternoons from 2 - 5pm
- Open House June 14
- Showcase event at 1776 on July 26.
The program is designed for founders/teams who are working full-time on their startup idea over the summer months, and teams will be accepted on a rolling basis until spaces run out. The application consists of a simple google form and a copy of your executive summary. Once your application has been received, you will be invited to campus for an interview with the Summer Launch Program directors.
The Summer Program has helped many Hoya-founded companies gain early momentum, including:
- Misfit Juicery
- Sunniva Super Coffee
- Riide electric bikes
- Lulu's Ice Cream
