Alumni Entrepreneur Excellence Award Nominations Now Open!

Each year the Georgetown Entrepreneurship Alliance awards alumni entrepreneurs the Georgetown Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for Outstanding Alumni Entrepreneur. Nominations are solicited from our community of alumni worldwide, and finalists and winners are selected by a committee comprised of the GEA Board of Directors and the University. Award winners are welcomed back to campus to receive their award, speak to current student entrepreneurs and Startup Hoyas, and meet with University administrators and Professors. The nomination process is currently open!

Click here to nominate an alumni entrepreneur for this award. Nominations must be submitted by March 23, 2015. 

Criteria that will be utilized for judging is as follows:

  • Evidence of financial success of the company such as revenue generated, capital raised, etc.
  • Demonstration of positive impact of business
  • Service to Alma Mater
  • Tie to Georgetown's mission and Jesuit values
  • Service to entrepreneurial community
  • Level of innovation
  • Company growth


Finalists will be notified April 1st and awards will be given in-person at the StartupHoyas Entrepalooza on campus on Monday, April 27th at 5pm. Award winners will be honored in-person with a welcome dinner with other prominent alumni entrepreneurs and will share remarks at the reception on April 27th.
